When you're touring the Local Zone of Peace, your delegation will:

  • See the reconstruction of communities following Hurricane Stan;

  • Visit local self-sufficiency projects: innovative organic farms, sustainable use of endangered wetlands, and organized communities building dignified lives.

  • Tour El Salvador's Local Zone of Peace;

  • Engage in solidarity work alongside the campesinos in their projects;

  • Hear first hand stories of the civil war including the role of Archbishop Romero, the Jesuits, and the Maryknoll sisters;

  • Pause at the beachfront for rest as well as reflection on and discussion of the experience.

Every year, the tour schedule is a little different. The activities generally stay the same, but their order may change.

This itinerary reflects the activities of the Zone of Peace tour.
