1. Spandex

Most Australian swimwear whether it is for men, women or kids is made of spandex. Although it is not a natural fabric but is durable, soft and elastic. This material helps in making swim costumes more figure hugging causing less friction when swimming.

2. Nylon

After spandex, the second most popular fabricis nylon. This type of fabric is light in weight, can easily be dried and provides a lot of stretch.

3. Cotton

Initially cotton or wool was used to make swimwear. You can still go with a cotton swimsuit to nail the vintage look. This type of suits are very comfortable, durable and curve hugging especially when blended with nylon or spandex material.

4. Polyester

The main purpose of using this material for making swimsuits is that it does not get affected by chlorine. The coloursin polyester are fast and do not get dull when exposed to sunlight and chlorine.

5. Mesh

Mesh fabric is often used as the inner lining in most swimsuits whether those are for women, men or children. It is because this material is very light in weight and still provides with insulation.

The above-mentioned fabrics are comfortable and you can easily the spend whole day in swim suits made from these materials.
