Tips For Making Vegetables And Fruits Fun For Kids

Courtesy: Pinterest

Getting your kids to eat fruits and vegetables is a difficult task; they think vegetables taste horrible and look boring. Fruits and vegetables don’t attract them as much as bounties an candies do. However, they are important for their growth and a healthy immune system.

The thing with kids these days is that you cannot force them to do anything. Whether it is eating their greens or following the home rules. You need to tackle them cleverly so they think that it was indeed their idea to eat all the good stuff.

Here are few tips for tricking your toddlers into eating fresh fruits and vegetables:

  • Let’s play hide n seek

The best way to make your kid eat their vegetable is by hiding them. Here are few examples; you can make meat balls from grated onion, potato, carrot, zucchini, garlic and breadcrumbs. Simply mix them, roll them out and fry them. You can also use butternut squash as a spaghetti replica. Simply microwave it for a few minutes, take a fork pull it apart and sauté in a pan over high heat. Slightly season it with salt n pepper.

  • Make it look like a zoo

You can always replicate food with animal figures. A quick example can be celery stalks with vegemite on one end to mimic ants on stick.

  • Add their favorites

Cut fruits into bite size pieces, throw them in a bowl and top it off with marshmallows and chocolate treats.
