Permanent Hair Loss Via Taxotere

Women across the country are beginning to file lawsuits over a chemotherapy drug they say causes permanent hair loss. It’s called Taxotere, and many patients, including the women at Ahead Of Our Time, claim they were never warned of this traumatic side effect.

When Taxotere was finally approved in 1996, the FDA restricted its indications to just one group of patients: people with “locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer after failure of prior chemotherapy.”

When this warning was released, Sanofi promptly put a warning label on the drug, but the damage was already done on numerous breast cancer patients.

Lawsuits are beginning to be filed against the company by affected patients claiming a variety of damages. There have been no large settlements on Taxotere claims to date, but it does not mean that there is no hope. You can  also navigate to this website  if you want to get information related to hairloss lawsuits.

It is still a relatively new topic and many lawsuits are actively pending following extensive discovery into scientific research and information affirmatively linking Taxotere to the permanent hair loss suffered by so many patients. As more research is uncovered and a clear link is established, more and more patients will likely have a claim against Sanofi.

Taxotere can have serious consequences on a cancer patient. It could affect them emotionally and financially as well. If not for the drug, the patient would still have been earning much for their family. The good news is that there is still hope and those who have suffered may be able to recover damages and make the responsible parties liable for what they have done.
