When you call:

1. Ask for the Foreign Affairs Staffer in the office

2. Tell them your name and where you are from. If you like, tell them about your relationship with El Salvador.

3. Tell them that you are very concerned about recent events that indicate a threat to civil liberties in El Salvador. Explain that on July 2, 14 peaceful protesters were arrested and have been brought up on charges of terrorism - which means they could be sentenced to 40-60 years in prison, simply for exercising their right to peaceful protest.

4. Ask them to sign on the letter being sponsored by Rep. Michael Capuano of Massachusetts, which expresses concerns about this case to President Saca.

5. Leave them your contact information, in case they have any questions.
