Nelson Saga

Born in Santa Ana, El Salvador, Nelson emigrated to Los Angeles, CA in the late 80s.   He plays in the modern Latin American folk style known as trova.

After gaining a "wet foot" in painting and Christian organizing, he participated in the young artistic, cultural, and musical movement, "Rock en Espanol".  While writing in the 90s for local and international magazine La Banda Elastica and Etcetera (ETC), Nelson founded and published fanzine, El Rollo, formed with other troubadours the idea of " Indocumentadicima Trova Angelina" under the guidance of " Macondo Espacio Cultural" directors and journalists, Paula Ramirez and Raymundo Reynoso.

Becoming more involved with composing and performing his own music led him to a blending of lyrical and profound human poetic eclecticism.

For now Saga resides in Austin TX, where he records his first independent professional LP, "CIPITIO", at TTI (Texas Talent In ternational) studios and Co-hosts "Cosmica Radio Magazine" with Joy Segers on the local community Radio, 91.7 fm, KOOP.
