Chacuatol
Chacuatol is an indigenous word meaning "two or more." This brother
and sister duo, Djanga and Ricardo Barnes, come from Nicaragua. They began their
professional singing careers in 1968 with the best Nicaraguan rock band, Los Rockets.
In a benefit concert for the 1972 earthquake, they shared the stage with Santana.
They regularly play for Austin audiences, including a recent benefit at the Peace and Rhythm Festival.
